Joan Lunden is one of America’s most trusted and recognizable broadcast journalists, best known for her nearly two decades as co-host of Good Morning America. A trailblazer in early morning television, she reported from 26 countries, covered major global events, and helped millions of Americans start their day.
Off-screen, Joan has built a powerful platform as a best-selling author, entrepreneur, and passionate health advocate. She has served as a national spokesperson for organizations including Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the American Red Cross, the American Lung Association, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She’s led national campaigns for colon cancer prevention, diabetes management, and maternal health.
Her many books—on parenting, wellness, and resilience—include Wake-Up Calls, A Bend in the Road, Growing Up Healthy, and Joan Lunden’s Healthy Living. She also contributed the foreword to Chicken Soup for the Soul: Thanks Mom. Through writing, speaking, and hosting wellness-focused programs, she continues to empower others to live with purpose and vitality.
